Bio

Christopher J. Bosso is professor of political science and associate dean of the School of Social Sciences, Public Policy, and Urban Affairs, Northeastern University . He writes on the societal impacts of science and technology, environmental and food safety politics, the tactics and strategies pursued by environmental groups, and on public policymaking dynamics in general. His most recent major scholarly work is Environment, Inc.: From Grassroots to Beltway (University Press of Kansas, 2005), awarded the Lynton Caldwell Award for best book in environmental politics and public policy by the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Section of the American Political Science Association. Bosso is also a senior researcher with the National Science Foundation Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing (CHN) at Northeastern and director of the Nanotechnology and Society Research Group (http://nsrg.neu.edu), which conducts NSF funded research on regulatory dimensions of nanotechnology.
