-graduated from the Kiev State University in 1957 on physics, spectroscopy -post-graduated at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukranian Republik of the USSR -Ph.D.Thesis on "Exciton Spectra of Naphthalene Crystals" was defended in Lebedev's Physical Institute of the Ac.Sci of the USSR in Moscow in 1962 - Doctor Sci. dissertation on "Exciton Spectra of Molecular Crystals" was defended in Lebedev"s Physical Institute of the Ac.Sci. of the USSR in Moscow in 1978 - Assistant professor of solid state physics spectroscopy since 1978 and - full professor since 1985. Affiliations: Institute of Physics of the Ac.Sci. of the Ukranian SSR (Kiev) 1958-1966; Institute of Solid State Physics of the Ac.Sci of the USSR (Chernogolovka, Mosc. distr.) 1966-1986; Moscow Physical-Technical Institute (professorship) 1978-1986; Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) since 1986 till now. Current position: Professor, principal scientist, a scientific curator of the Laboratory of Computational Nanotechnology of the General Physics Department. Membership: Author of more than 280 papers and three monographs; Member of the editorial board of "Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals" (Gordon and Breach Publ.); Associate editor of the "Journal of Nanoparticle Research" (Springer Publ.); Full member of the European Society of Computational Methods in Science and Engineering (ESCMSE); Member of the American Chemical Society; Grantee of the RFBR Fields of interests: Excitonics of molecular crystals, phonon spectra of molecular crystals (inelastic neutron scattering, calculation), exciton-phonon interaction and vibronic spectra of molecular crystals, phase transformation in molecular solids with liquid-crystal behaviour (vibrational spectroscopy and neutron diffraction), vibrational spectroscopy of nanoparticles, quantum-chemical simulations of nanoobjects towards computational nanotechnology, quantum fullerenics, simulations of carbon nanotubes and graphene. |
