Spintronics is the science and technology of using the spin degree of freedom of a charge carrier, either singly, or in conjunction with the charge degree of freedom, to store, process, sense and communicate data and information. Dr. Supriyo Bandyopadhyay, a leader in sprintronics since the mid-1990s, discusses how spintronics can push the limits now facing conventional electronics.
