Researchers at Brown University have created a new type of dye-free optical probe that can directly sense naturally occurring neural activity by imbedding gold nanoparticles into tissue culture and thus measure the electrical activity of live neurons.
Reviewing new trends and techniques for future chromosome research, this volume draws upon scientists from many disciplines to introduce various nano devices and applications that have been developed for handling the smallest biological materials, especially chromosomes.
