Sohail Anwar Ph.D.

Dr. Sohail Anwar is an Associate Professor of Engineering and the Coordinator of Electrical Engineering Technology Program at the Altoona College of the Pennsylvania State University. In addition, he is a Professional Associate of the Management Development Programs and Services at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.

He is also serving as the Chair of the Electronics Engineering Technology Consulting Faculty committee of Excelsior College, Albany, NY. Since 1996, he has been serving as a visiting Profesor of Electrical Engineering at the Universite d'Artois, France. Since 2009, he has been serving as an Invited Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Shanghai Normal University, China. Dr. Anwar has been developing active research collaborations wtih his colleagues in China.

Dr. Anwar has been a program evaluator for the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, USA. Dr. Anwar is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Engineering Technology, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Engineering Research and Innovation, Executive Editor of the International Journal of Modern Engineering, and as Associate Editor of the Journal of the Pennsylvania Academy of Science.

Dr. Anwar has been teaching academic courses in the topical areas of digital systems design, microprocessors, circuit analysis, engineering design, signals and systems, quality control, PLCs, and nanotechnology. In addition, he developed and conducted industrial training in the topical areas of PLCs, hydraulics, electro-hydraulics, electrical machines, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical circuits. Dr, Anwar has extensive experience in developing and teaching on-line courses in engineering and engineering technology.

Dr. Anwar is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of ASEE, ATMAE, and PAS.
