He worked for some years for EMI Electronics on military and civilian R&D applications, including IR sensors and tracking systems, ring laser gyroscopes and holographic cameras. He spent two years in private research into 3D imaging, and some years as managing director of a firm making peripherals for mini and microcomputers. He joined the Image Processing Group at UCL in 1985, and his research interests include neural networks and nanoelectronics.
Education
Dr. M. Forshaw has an MA in Physics from Oxford, the DIC in Meteorology, and MSc and PhD in Applied Optics, from Imperial College.
