NIST Researchers Address How To Ensure Quantum Computer Reliability

Description Two new National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) research papers address a key challenge to practical quantum computer: the need for a device that produces photons in ready quantities, but only one at a time, and only when the computer processor is ready to receive them. NIST addresses a solution to preventing how a rush of information-bearing photons entering a quantum processor can ruin a calculation.
