'Nanonets' Developer Receives NSF Career Award for Clean Energy

Description Boston College Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dunwei Wang has received a career award from the National Science Foundation to develop clean energy technologies and expand his work with the public. Wang developed "Nanonets," a flexible webbing of nanoscale wires that has shown promise in the lab for extracting hydrogen from water. The five-year, $550,000 award will allow Wang to refine Nanonet technology for use in a hydrogen fuel-generating process known as water splitting.
