Microfluidic Devices One Step Closer to Detecting Single Proteins

Description Quanterix Corp. researchers have developed a novel way to detect individual proteins using its Single Molecule Array (SiMoA) technology.

"We have developed a device that enables the fluidic sealing and isolation of single molecules in arrays containing hundreds of thousands of miniaturized wells,” said Quanterix vice president of research David Duffy, Ph.D. “By using arrays enclosed in microfluidic channels we are able to perform SiMoA in a fully automated fashion." he added.

The work arises from a partnership with Sony DADC and is published in the online journal Lab on a Chip.
