Arizona Researchers Probe DNA Nanostructures to Trigger Immune Responses

Description Researchers at Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute have exploited DNA nanotechnology to produce a new group of synthetic vaccines that can trigger an immune response.

The team explored how DNA nanostructures to carry the molecules that can trigger an immune response in the body. From that work, they created synthetic vaccine complexes (resembling natural virus without the disease component), and attached them to pyramid-shaped DNA nanostructures which could interact with target cell.
